How I Approach Enterprise Mandates
I start with the business outcome and the work required to achieve it, not with a course, platform, framework, or technology. The objective is to identify the real constraint, determine what people must do differently, select the least complex intervention likely to work, establish clear governance, and measure whether performance actually changes.
Business outcome
What result needs to change?
Constraint
What is actually preventing that result: capability, process, workflow, technology, information, management, incentives, governance, or another condition?
Work
What must people understand, decide, perform, verify, or do differently, and what should be internalized versus supported in the workflow?
Intervention
What is the least intervention required to establish the conditions for successful performance: learning, support, process, technology, management action, or a combination?
Governance
Who owns the decision, risk, standard, accountability, and sustainment?
Evidence
What evidence would tell us to scale, modify, or stop?
A training request is not a diagnosis. Better training cannot compensate for the wrong intervention.
