The important AI workforce question is not simply how employees should use AI. It is how work should be redesigned as AI changes what can be performed by people, technology, and the interaction between them.

The task may become a more useful unit of analysis than the job.

- How do roles and workflows need to change?

AI workforce readiness requires work design, capability, governance, and human responsibility, not simply tool access or generic AI training.
